Its tropical appearance gives its origin away. The fruit reaches up to 50 cm length, and 4 kilos of weight. On the outside its colour is brown and greenish, while inside it shows a characteristic yellow.
Although it has many elements such as potassium, magnesium, calcium, vitamins A and C, iron and sodium, it stands out for bromelain, an enzyme that breaks down protein molecules, which dissolves the clots that may accumulate in the blood. All this translates into a decrease in circulatory problems and a decrease in hypertension. It also helps in the digestion process, by decreasing intestinal gas or stomach heaviness.
Although we can enjoy it at any time of the year, in winter it reaches its best time.
